祝賀張德光先生九十五壽辰

張德光敎授1925年9月15日出生在中國福建省長汀縣出生，家學淵源，父親張贊堯是敎育家，爲鄉村現代化敎育的創辦人。張德光先後畢業于廈門大學政治學、台灣大學政治學系，于西雅圖的華盛頓大學獲得政治學碩士。
    張德光在美國西雅圖華盛頓大學政治學院學習、硏究，獲碩士學位，又獲美國大學國際關係哲學博士學位。1966年起，任美國印地安納州立博爾大學政治學系敎授，爲該校亞洲硏究部的創辦人，並任國際政治學會亞洲硏究委員會主席。曾多次主持國際會議。1988年應國務院僑辦邀請回大陸講學，被聘爲客座敎授。著有《聯合國之組織成就與展望》、《柏林四外長會議》、《政治學》、《美國外交政策制定機構之蛻變》，以及譯著多冊，撰寫學術論文幾十篇，在倫敦、紐約、洛杉磯等地著名書刋發表或出版。他是國際華人政治硏究權威之一。他的才學倍受美國前總統里根的賞識，1985年美蘇首次在日內瓦舉行高峰會議，張德光被里根召進白宮商討美蘇會談問題，爲美蘇會談作準備工作。
   張德光是著名的國際活動家。他在加拿大、南非等國主持17、18、19屆國際政治世界大會，自1966年起他先後訪問過70多個國家，與各國政要交往情深，爲促進國際關係發展爲亞太地區的安全與世界和平作出不懈努力。
   2018年在印第安納州州立博爾大學慶祝成立一百周年紀念，頒奬給最資深敎授張德光。雖然張德光敎授時年已經93歲，在該校政治學系擔任敎授已有五十二年，卻仍任敎如常，並無退休計劃，張敎授答“爲報恩”——感恩戴德，報答人類社會。受到該校校長頒予杰出敎授奬狀及金質校徽奬章。
