Annual Lunar New Year Gala!
辛辛那提華人商會是一個在俄州華人社區有名氣的協會,雖然成立才四年,在主席和全體董事會齊心協力合作下,僅四年爲中美倆國的經濟文化做了不少貢獻。
1月28日,商會舉辦了隆重的送虎迎兔喜慶春節活動,有二百八十位中外賓客參加了這個盛會,當日他們邀請了俄亥俄州立大學東亞語言文學系正敎授,全美東亞語文資源中心主任吳偉克
( Galal
Walker)做當日主題演講人,吳偉克以中國是美國生活的一部分,精彩的演講讓更多的嘉賓加深對中國的瞭解。(演講稿在P14)
當日還有文藝演出,有傳統的中國民族舞蹈和琵琶等中國民樂的演奏,讓大家度過了一個愉快的中國新年。
The Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce (GCCCC) is a
non-profit, organization with a mission to bridge the business
communities of greater China and the Midwest through education,
promotion and networking.
We are an independent organization but work closely with Chinese and
American business and governmentat various levels. Our major events
include Networking-For-Success visits (such as at DHL-Express),
China-Round-Table seminars (such as on merger and acquisition),
Business-After-Hour talks (such as the talks by the President of
Bank of China-USA andP&G’s Group President–Asia), organizing
business tours to China (such as one with Mayor Mallory in 2010),
and receiving government and investment delegations to the Midwest
from China. GCCCC has hosted numerous Chinese delegations including
two led by the Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of China,one of
which had 100 members.
GCCCCcelebrated its 5th Anniversary Gala in November 2010, featuring
keynote speaker Jim Rogers, Chairman, President and CEO of Duke
Energy and one of the World’s 50 Most Influential Persons (Newsweek
2008). The Chief Representative of China Petroleum and Chemicals,
the Vice Consul from the New York Chinese Consulate General, and
government officials from both countries also joined us in the
celebration.
