GRACE FENG: I want to donate my first paycheck to the
Erie Chinese Journal because it has done so much for the
Chinese-American community. My donation is very small in comparison
with the huge positive impact of the Erie Chinese Journal. The journal
is a golden bridge for our community. It is a great source of
information written in both Chinese and English so that Chinese and
Americans alike are able to read it.
As I glean through the papers, I become very inspired—I’m sure that
is the same for you as well—by all the featured Chinese-Americans who
have succeeded in this country. Such individuals include Secretary of
Labor Elaine Chao, Grammy Award winner Dr. Angelin Chang, Attorney
Margaret Wong, Mr. Anthony Yan, Entrepreneurs Mr. Ellis Yan and Dr.
Jennie Hwang, and many others.
With this donation, I am also showing my gratitude towards Mrs. Pu
Ying for all of her contributions to the BEST Chinese American
newspaper and also to Dr. Hung and Auntie Faye for inspiring me to
give back to the community.
I hope that everyone here will continue his and her support of the
Erie Chinese Journal!
