Dear Prospective Exhibitor:
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is seeking
exhibitors for the 2009 Black Health Empowerment Project (BHEP)
Tour, a national obesity awareness and health promotion initiative
designed to educate African Americans about obesity’s relationship
to chronic diseases. This free community health event features a
Healthy Living Forum and Health & Fitness Expo, which include
presentations by national and local health experts, fitness and
cooking demonstrations, free health screenings, valuable
information, and fun activities for the entire family.
BHEP has visited 17 cities since its inception in 2005. It
has been a huge success with an approximate attendance of 250‐400
people per city. This year’s tour will showcase engaging health
sessions, offer more interactive activities, and expose a greater
number of attendees to strategies for taking control of their
health. Approved exhibitors are provided tabletop exhibit space at
no cost and afforded an opportunity to promote their mission and
services through product and/or service giveaways. We only ask that
participating exhibitors promote the event to their patrons, clients
or stakeholders and register at least 10 of them for the event. This
prospectus provides information about the Black Health Empowerment
Project and exhibiting opportunities that are available at these
important events. If you are interested in being an exhibitor,
please review this guide closely, complete the attached Exhibitor
Space Request Form and return it via fax to (202) 204‐5155.
Participation is confirmed by written notifications that include
venue access, set‐up and break‐down times, and a detailed schedule
of activities. Please contact Adriana Spikes at (202) 744‐5163 for
additional information. We look forward to working with your
organization to present an educational and memorable experience that
encourages attendees to Eat, Move and Test for Health!
Sincerely,
La Shonya McNeil
