“亞裔美國人”大型紀録片 5月11日首播Title:“ASIAN AMERICANS” Premier on May 11,2020

“亞裔美國人”是首部講述亞裔美國人歷史的大型紀録片，該片採用勇敢而獨特的視角審視歷史。影片共分五集，每集一個小時：
1. 破土
2. 忠誠的問題
3. 好樣的美國人
4. 崛起的一代
5. 突破

2020年將把亞裔美國人奮發拼搏的身影載入史冊：大選年，人口普查年，楊安澤競選美國總統，疫情。。。不僅大批亞裔醫護人員奮勇在一線救治病員，全美各地華人團體紛紛投入社區救助行動，他們把居家令變成了一場爲醫院警局等捐贈防疫物資的賽跑場。即使特朗普高呼“中國病毒”，即使美國各地對華人騷擾和攻擊日益增加，同胞們依然負重前行。也許只有我們自己知道在2020年全世界都在抵抗新冠災害的同時，唯獨華人要抗擊兩種病毒，其中一種叫：種族歧視。
當然，我們還要承受中美關係的起伏對美國華人的影響。著名作家謝漢蘭女士這樣説：“中美關係一感冒，美國華人就得肺炎”。
在這個時候觀看“亞裔美國人”，五個小時的歷史回顧，會帶給我們什么樣的啓迪？
撫摸前輩的足迹，我們不難發現：歷史在重演。
然而這是2020年，半個世紀前的民權運動開啓了美國少數族裔的新時代。科學技術在飛躍，社會在前進，亞裔美國人面前是新的政治格局。亞裔美國人已經覺醒：公民參與才是正道。
我們將從逆境中再次崛起，別無選擇。而每一次崛起，我們都登上一座更高的山峰。

“Asian Americans” is a five-hour film series that delivers a bold, fresh perspective on a history that matters today, more than ever. As America becomes more diverse, and more divided while facing unimaginable challenges, how do we move forward together? Told through intimate personal stories, the series will cast a new lens on U.S. history and the ongoing role that Asian Americans have played.
