   我曾在美國空軍服役,目前在美國衆議院任職。然而,仍然有人對我説:“回到”中國、朝鮮、或日本去。像許多移民一樣,我學會了不把這種種族主義侮辱當回事。但我從未想過,堂堂美國總統也會吿訴國會議員“回到”另一個國家。
   特朗普總統經常跨越體面行爲的底線。但這次感覺有所不同,因爲他現在正在攻擊合法移民和美國公民身份。他從周日迄今的言論暗示,移民對我們的國家不那么忠誠、不夠美國人,如果我們不同意他,我們就應該“回去”或“離開”。
   二十年前,我在 《華盛頓郵報》中的一篇專欄文章中寫到過,穿着我的空軍制服是什么樣的感受:人們質疑我對美國的忠誠,僅僅因爲我的膚色,一位女士甚至問我是不是中國空軍。

   自從我撰寫那篇文章以來的20年來,發生了很多變化。美國人選出了美國第一位黑人總統;最高法院有了一名西裔美國人;女性做了衆議院議長;亞裔美國人在國會的數字創了記録;美國原住民婦女和美國穆斯林婦女第一次在國會任職。
   皮尤硏究中心(Pew Research Center)表示,“美國的移民數量超過世界上任何其他國家” ,“美國外國出生的人口在2017年達到創紀録的4440萬。”同一份報吿發現,移民及其後代將會到2065年,美國人口增長率達到88%。總統無法阻止大部分人口變化,尤其是未經國會的同意。
   美國代表着把希望、自由和機會帶給在這里出生的人、也帶給那些沒有出生在這里的人。無論是思想還是人的多樣性,一直都是美國最大的資産之一。

I don’t know what’s left to be said.
Once again, Donald Trump has launched another hateful attack against a prominent leader of color. Over the weekend, he tweeted out vile, abhorrent lies about the city of Baltimore and about my colleague and friend, Congressman Elijah Cummings. If you’re sick and tired of Trump’s offensive twitter tirades, now’s your chance to join me in fighting back.
Trump tweeted that the city of Baltimore is a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” and a “very dangerous and filthy place.” He continued by attacking Rep. Cummings' leadership in Congress and by calling Baltimore a place where “no human being would want to live.”
You don’t have to read between the lines to understand what Trump is getting at. And then this morning, Trump sent several tweets attacking Al Sharpton. As he continues to double down on hate, I need to know that you’ve got my back so I can continue to speak out against this truly un-American president.
I guess Trump forgot that he is supposed to serve every American -- regardless of where they live or what race they are. We cannot let it become normal for an American President to attack his own citizens.
A $200, $100, or $50 donation today won’t stop Donald Trump from saying hateful things. But if enough people chip in, I’ll know it’s an issue that voters like you care about, and I’ll be able to double down on my efforts to stop this dangerous and un-American hate speech.
