俄亥俄州立大學中文旗艦中小學項目于四月十八日在哥倫布都市高中再次成功地舉辦了敎師培訓班。這是本項目成立兩年半以來所舉辦的六次敎師培訓活動中最大的一次,共有54人注冊參加,其中絶大多數目前在中小學任敎中文,其餘的正在參加俄州中文敎師資格證培訓班。令人感動的是,來自克里夫蘭等地的多位老師黎明前出發,驅車2-3小時趕來參加培訓班。
培訓班開始時,中文旗艦中心主任吳偉克敎授激動地説,他近三十年來致力于推動中文敎育,沒想到如今有這么多中文敎師能彙聚一堂相互學習。本次培訓班由中文旗艦中小學項目主任史昆組織與主持,培訓師是愛克隆大學的張永芳、俄大中文旗艦中心的趙喚貞和孟楠。當天有十位老師分享了實用的敎學經驗,大家都感到受益匪淺。根據反饋,敎師分享經驗,相互學習,將是我們將來舉辦敎師培訓的重點。(欲瞭解更多有關俄州中小學中文敎育的情况,請登陸俄大中文旗艦網站:http://chineseflagship.osu.edu)
The OSU K-12 Chinese Flagship Program conducted the
sixth teacher development workshop on April 18, 2009, at Metro High
School in Columbus. This is by far the best attended workshop, with
54 teachers coming from K-12 schools across Ohio. Some teachers
traveled as far as three hours away for the workshop.
Dr. Galal Walker, Director of the OSU Chinese Flagship
Center, was impressed by the turnout and told the participants that
he was looking forward to such large gatherings of Chinese language
teachers in Ohio for almost thirty years.
The workshop was organized by Kun Shi, Director of the OSU
K-12 Chinese Flagship Program. The workshop trainers are Yongfang
Zhang from University of Akron, Huanzhen Zhao and Nan Meng from the
OSU Chinese Flagship. The experienced teachers shared their teaching
strategies, and all participants were satisfied with the learning
opportunity. Based on the feedback, sharing teaching strategy and
creating a support system for all teachers will be a key focus for
future teacher development workshops. For more information about the
