大辛城華商會

2005年,辛辛那提的兩位華人Charlie Zhao 和Shau Zavon,看到中國經濟突飛猛進,俄州又是一個工業大基地,就想到要成立一個商會作爲搭建中美兩地的橋樑,有了這個好念頭,他倆就開始策劃準備,到目前爲止已經是一個有17個董事會和100個會員的協會,並且在辛辛那提的主流社會享有盛譽。
大辛城華商會是一個成長迅速,自發的不贏利組織,成立這個組織的目的就是提供給個人和公司及政府機構以商業往來和合作的機會,幫助中美兩地創造機會,促進中美兩國在經濟文化上的交流。商會對每一個參加的會員有優惠的待遇,並提供網上新聞和協會動態,商會也組辦商業講座,每年固定有幾次聚會。

Dear GCCCC Members and Friends,
Happy Chinese New Year!
2007 has been a productive and successful year for
the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
We successfully organized and co-organized several
events, highlighted by the two high level visits
from China Institute of Interior Design and the
Ministry of Commerce Investment and Trade
Delegation. We also provided a number of seminars on
Doing Business with China in Miami University and
successfully held a program featuring Dr. Li Dewei’s
work on the analysis and trend of China economy. The
chamber also successfully attracted new business
from China, which became the second China owned
company in Greater Cincinnati. Our membership has
grown significantly, which doubled the 2006
membership numbers to close to 100 including several
China members and out of town members. Your support,
commitment and effort were essential to our success.
On behalf of the chamber, I would like to give you a
quick update on recent organizational development.
In December 2007, seventeen Board of Directors (BOD)
were elected by our members. Officers of the BOD and
Executive Committee (EC) were also elected in late
January by the board. I would like to thank previous
Chairman Mr. Baisong Zhao, Vice Chairman Ms. Shau
Zavon, other BOD and EC members for their leadership
and tireless efforts that led to a productive and
successful 2007 for the chamber.
In 2008, the new BOD and EC leadership team will
focus on a few key objectives 1) ensure the chamber
will continue to provide high quality and meaningful
service to its members, 2) continue to promote and
develop business opportunities between the Greater
Cincinnati, Ohio and China, 3) build and support a
stronger Chinese American community in the Greater
Cincinnati area and beyond, 4) develop the chamber
to a new level (e.g. significantly increase number
of members and extend our service areas beyond
Greater Cincinnati to cover the tri state region).
The EC leadership team (led by Ms. Shau Zavon) is
working on an action plan for 2008 and will share
with you shortly. We are very confident that we will
achieve our goals and milestones and make the
chamber a stronger organization in 2008 with your
continued support.
