The Flats Oxbow Association and Cleveland Rowing
Foundation proudly present the 2007 Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival.
Asia Services in Action, Inc. (ASIA) and the St. Clair Superior
Community Development Corporation actively support the Festival and
are directly involved in planning and coordination efforts.
The Festival will be held on Saturday,
September 1 and Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Cleveland's Historic
Flats. Opening Ceremonies begin at 11:00 AM. Races will be held from
12:00 to 5:00 PM
The Festival will also increase an awareness of the people and unique
cultures of the Asian community, present in Cleveland's ASIATOWN
neighborhood and Northeastern Ohio, as well as, market and promote the
Asian business community.
Dragon Boat racing incorporates high energy, fitness,
team building and recreational exercise in a fun and competitive
atmosphere! It is an excellent recreational sport for men and women of
all ages and fitness levels. Individual strength is less important
than teamwork, coordination and cooperation.
Dragon Boat racing is an exciting event for
participants and spectators alike. The sport is growing in popularity
throughout the world. It is an excellent team building activity for
friends and co-workers.
Join us for a weekend of thrilling races, team
spirit and fun on the banks of the majestic Cuyahoga River in
Cleveland's Historic Flats. The races will be an exciting and
exhilarating event! And by participating, you will help in supporting
the community programs offered by The Cleveland Rowing Foundation and
Asian Services in Action, Inc.

We're taking registrants the day of the event...so go ahead
and fell confidant that you'll paddle. But the sooner you get your
form in the easier it will be for all of us. Dragonboats are coming
today, practices start Tuesday 6- 9 p.m on the hour, with additional
practices Wed, Thurs, and Friday.
