Grace Fong won the Baroque Prize at the most recent Cleveland
International Piano Competition. A first prizewinner in the Los
Angeles Liszt Competition, the Edith Knox Performance Competition, and
the CIM Concerto Competition, Ms. Fong won two special prizes in the
2006 Viardo International Piano Competition, was the Gold Medalist for
the 2003 Wideman International Piano Competition, and winner of the
2002 Music Academy of the West Concerto Competition. She was a
finalist in the 2006 International Piano Competition at Leeds,
England. Her radio broadcasts include performances across the United
States, Canada, Europe and Asia, including the “Emerging Young
Artists” series in New York and NPR’s “Performance Today.”
In 1997 she won the Grand Prize in piano from the National Foundation
for the Advancement of the Arts Talent Search, performed at the
Kennedy Center, and was named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and
presented with a medallion by President Clinton. A graduate of USC,
she was named the keyboard departments “Most Outstanding Student” and
won the school’s “Renaissance Scholar Prize She studied with Sergei
Babayan at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned her
masters and doctorate.

Hong Xu made his solo recital debut and won his first national
gold medal (China) at the age of 12. Since then, he has played with
major orchestras and earned prizes in competitions around the world.
He made his concerto debut with the Wuhan Symphony Orchestra at 16,
and has appeared as a soloist with numerous other orchestras,
including the Utah Symphony, Hilton Head Symphony, and Rochester
Philharmonic.
He won the Mozart Prize in the most recent Cleveland International
Piano Competition, Second Prize and Audience Prize at the 2004 Hilton
Head Piano Competition, and Second Prize at the 2004 MTNA National l
Steinway Piano Competition. Invited by the Hong Kong government to
perform in the National Young Artist concert series of 2000, Mr. Xu
has given recitals across the U.S. and China. His is currently
studying with Jerome Lowenthal at the Julliard School in New York.

Jung Eun Oh has embarked on a vocal career that has taken her
from a degree in economics at Harvard, to the operatic stage – where
she most recently dazzled audiences in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera
and Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol. A composer and pianist as well as
singer, Ms. Oh performed in The Magic Flute and Purcell’s Dido and
Aeneas at Harvard, and has performed as a soloist with the New England
Conservatory Camerata Chamber Choir.
She recently won first place in the Leopoldskron vocal competition in
Salzburg, Austria. Currently, Ms. Oh studies with Mary Schiller at the
Cleveland Institute of Music. Among her other awards, Ms. Oh has
earned the Irvin Bushman Prize in Singing, the Boris Goldovsky Prize
in Opera, the Pauline Thesmacher Award, and the 2006-2007 Scholarship
of the Music and Drama Club of Cleveland.
