莫拉克颱風重創南台灣’災民家園破碎’流離失所,上萬慈濟志工在第一時間進行勘災、慰問、清掃、義診、發放應急救助金。(美國CNN報導)
證嚴上人指示:慈濟人展開中、長期計劃,比照921地震方式’以心靈撫慰“安心”，生活關懷“安生”，興建組合屋“安身”，三項計劃同步進行。
In the wake of Typhoon Morakot's destruction on August 8, 2009, Tzu
Chi has already delivered 200,000 hot meals and provided emergency
cash assistance to 12,000 families.
As we move towards intermediate and long-term recovery, we are
mobilizing more volunteers to provide medical services, spiritual
consolation, daily necessities, and begin cleanup and reconstruction
in disaster areas.
Help affected residents return quickly and smoothly to their homes
and their lives.
