每逢聖誕節,黃唯律師都會邀請她的親朋好友和新老顧客來參加公司的慶祝活動,每次總是提供豐富的佳肴、酒和茶點,還有文藝演出。2008年的活動來了八百多位朋友,黃唯本人站在辦公廳整整4個小時,親自迎接每一位來賓,與他們熱情握手問候,她還十分周到地爲每一位來賓安排停車。當日整個黃唯律師樓賓客如雲,所有律師、工作人員和客人融合在一起,輕鬆交談,大家都沉浸在節日前的喜慶氣氛中。黃唯是一位成功的律師,有一支和諧的團隊,也經常爲社區提供幫助,黃唯媽媽講過一句話:錢就是水,它是賺之于社會,所以要花之于社會。 |

Dear Family, Friends, Colleagues, and Clients,
Season’s Greetings! I hope our letter finds you all both happy and
healthy this holiday season. It is hard to believe that another year
has passed us by, but exciting to anticipate the joys, blessings,
and challenges that await us in the years to come.
Our family seems to grow as quickly as time passes. Steven is doing
well in his second year of law school at Case Western Reserve
University. Allison graduated from Boston University after
three-and-a-half years, and is now in her first year of law school
at the University at Buffalo Law School (my alma mater) where she
recently made the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review. It is amazing to
think that 35 years after I began my journey at University at
Buffalo Law School, my daughter is now doing the very same thing.
Francis is now an attorney at our firm, working in the Employment
Department with Lori Pinjuh, our Senior Attorney. Joseph is in his
third year of law school at Ohio State, and recently accepted an
offer from a law firm in Columbus. Stephanie continues to excel in
the arts, traveling from Vienna to Madrid with a branch of Pilobolus
Dance Theater. Theresa is doing an awesome job in our firm’s
Deportation Department where she continues to learn from and help
our awesome litigators. Catherine recently graduated from Cornell,
and is currently volunteering at the Cleveland Clinic as she works
on applications to medical school. Jacqueline maintains her artistic
creativity at Magnificat High School, while Vincent considers a
future at either St. Ignatius or St. Edward. Kam is happily half
retired. My dear mother, as of this writing, is travelling by
herself, having a great time in Shanghai. She continues to make her
soups and cook for the family twice a week. Such energy!
Like our family, our firm continues to spread its wings across the
Eastern United States. In addition to our offices in Atlanta,
Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, and Manhattan, we have excitedly added
a new office in Brooklyn. Though New York is facing one of our
country’s most challenging economic times, the New Yorkers I meet
are not only kind and compassionate, but focused and resilient. They
give me the unique motivation to do the very best I can, resulting
in great challenges and even greater rewards. I have learned that
when opportunity knocks on the door, you must take flight and spend
some time in the air!
Even though I have to travel a great deal more lately, I cannot be
more excited about our firm’s growth, and more proud of the hard
work displayed by our team. Under the leadership of my partner Scott
and me, along with the dedication and persistence of our attorneys
and staff, we successfully served thousands of clients.
It has been a year of growth and a year of change. The continual
interactions I maintain with the local and national community, along
with recognitions I am honored to receive, serve to remind me of how
important it is to reflect on time and the manner in which it is
spent. I sincerely hope that each of you is afforded the same
opportunity to grow, and seriously consider time not as a
measurement, but a blessing.
