Dear Operators,
Every year the Cuyahoga County Board of Health offers an educational
seminar focusing on the unique processes and qualities of Asian foods.
This year the 7th Annual Asian Food Safety seminar will be held on
Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health office
in Parma at 8:30A.M. This is a unique opportunity for you to ask
questions, to become familiar with the inspection process, review the
rules in the Ohio Revised Food Code and to become acquainted with your
sanitarian.
As in the past years, food sanitarians working for the Cuyahoga County
Board of Health will be conducting the seminar. The seminar will cover
food safety and sanitation, preparation for emergencies and travel
vaccinations. This seminar is offered in English with Mandarin and
Cantonese interpreters available. At the end of the seminar, operators
will have the most current information on food safety, preparedness
and emerging health concerns.
The cost of the seminar is $30.00 per person and includes a breakfast
of pastries, hot coffee and tea. Upon completion, attendees will
receive a certificate from the Board of Health that can be displayed
in your facility. Prizes will also be available to operators who
attend. The deadline for registration of the seminar is August 5,
