CHINA BUSINESS IMMERSION TRIP
|
|
China is the top priority for members of the World Trade Center
Cleveland. Companies view it as some combination of market
opportunity, competitive source of components, potential partner and
looming threat. Unquestionably, it is a location which requires
extensive, hands-on knowledge because of cultural and regulatory
factors and the rapid pace of change. For this reason, we encourage
companies to consider participation in the following business
immersion trip.
No sightseeing tour, this is an in-country
immersion into the practical business issues every company must
understand before starting a China initiative. Capture insights from
dozens of local executives and seasoned China line managers.
A U.S. based, half-day introductory seminar and eight
action-packed days in China:
* Cleveland-based, China operating seminar from experienced operating
managers with extensive China management track records
* Visit manufacturers, learn the regional and functional experiences
straight from current foreign business executives
* Meet with AMCHAM, Western legal advisors, Chinese Development Zone
Administrators, and functional executives from marquee companies.
Business decision makers and line operations managers exploring China
business initiatives should attend this seminar. Executives need to
understand the fabrics and dynamics of doing business in China or the
competitive impacts China will have on U.S. markets. Many aspects of
business in China are very different than those in the U.S. Without a
solid understanding of these differences, and the resources available
to your company, developing an effective China strategy is like
walking through a minefield.
