年會,來自克利夫蘭的各個協會企業個人在節日來臨之際,帶着喜慶參加了這個有意義的年慶活動。

Global Cleveland 是一個關心國際新移民並將其與克利夫蘭和凱霍加縣的經濟、社會和敎育機會聯繫起來的非營利組織機構,成立于
2011 年,以包容性和數十年向移民和難民敞開大門的傳統爲基礎,成立的目的是促進國際新移民之間的團結和集體社區建設。
“全球克利夫蘭”作爲經濟多樣性、公平和包容性的力量,幫助所有新移民,爲他們創造機會。
主要工作是爲新移民提供免費的connection 服務,即將當地的新移民/留學生與potential
employer和各種resources進行連接。他們不是一個job agency,也不會提供直接的就業機會或把你直接推薦到某個公司。
但是相信大家都會明白networking的重要性:美國的工作大多不是通過網申而獲得的,而是通過熟人介紹。也就是説,如果你能認識一個已經在某公司工作的人,而他又願意推薦你,那么你的成功幾率會非常大。而Global
Cleveland做的正是這件事。他們會和你聊一下你的工作意願,並依次將你connect給該領域內的在職人士;當你們見面詳談之後,如果留下good
impression,那么你就有了一個很好的領域內推薦人,這對找工作幫助非常大。
