Food Bank
Food Bank
Friends Who Have Hearts of Gold
Due to COVID-19, our monthly food giveaway at Sterling Recreation
Center was cancelled for April and May. However, knowing the needs
of area seniors, I was concerned. When I was notified that the food
giveaway would resume for June, I was elated, but how are we to keep
everyone safe when weaning masks, social distancing and other
precautions must be maintained at all times?
Seniors are the vulnerable population, so a solution needs to be
found fast. Fortunately, I have friends who have hearts of gold
because they came to help me delivery 175 boxed food to our seniors
from east to west of Cleveland in 14 zip codes areas: (44102, 44103,
44105, 44106, 44108, 44109, 44111, 44113, 44114, 44115, 44120,
44127, 44135 and 44144).
I am grateful for these friends:

and

Because of these kind and generous folks, seniors received their
boxed food at their front doors/porches without any fear. No Contact
Is the Safest Way for All because COVID-19 still exist among us. We
thank these volunteers.
