ENGAGE IN CROSS-CULTURAL EXCHANGE IN CLEVELAND
AND TAIWAN
We are seeking Student Ambassadors for May!
* Five (5) local high school students, sophomore and above, who are
willing to engage with 16 Taiwanese students during their program in
Cleveland from May 6—May 23, 2019
* Program focuses on music performance, music in social change, and
leadership
* Students should have a background in band, youth orchestra, and/or
music classes
* Student Ambassadors will have an opportunity to travel to Taiwan
in autumn 2019
Student Ambassador Requirements
* Ability to host 1-2 Taiwanese students overnight from May 17—May
20
* Willingness to engage with Taiwanese students as local “Student
Ambassadors,” introducing the students to American culture and
joining Cleveland-based programming
* Maturity, communication skills, and a desire to grow as young
leaders

* Name and contact of a music instructor who can provide a reference
* One page (single space, 12-point font) response to the question:
“How will this exchange experience impact you and your family,
school, or community?”
* Brief description of your access to transportation (i.e., Do you
have your own car? Can you access public transportation) |
