The politics of America is becoming the talk of the
planet. With China, Russia, and several countries are supporting,
(and some say illegally influencing), Donald Trump for the
presidency of the United States Of America. Why would competitors
and old opponents of the U.S.A. support a person called, “idiotic”,
“a clown”, and other disparaging words by our oldest supporters? We
have on one hand a woman who has worked for political control of
this government for most of her life and on the other a man who has
worked only for himself throughout his long and checkered career. He
has received the support of racist, anti-American groups and
individuals while paying off those who have accused him of
discrimination, fraud, and multiple cases of bankruptcy. This man is
telling everyone that he is a great businessman when he openly brags
about being, “the king of bankruptcy”. His opponent is no innocent,
being responsible for several errors in judgment and policy that Has
hurt this nation, its people and its reputation. She is not
truthful, but she is a politician, an occupation defined as, ‘one
who is skillful at using power’. Her opponent is not.
He appears to only excel at tearing people, religions, races, and
businesses down, (witness his fear laden address right here in
Cleveland at the Republican National Convention or the Hate and fear
filled adds subsequent to that address). Would he be the leader our
country needs to move into the future or would he be the type of
leader needed to move our country backwards, (which is part of his
national-‘make America great again’ champagne)? Only America can
say-only America can decide. A wise man once said, “You get the
government you deserve”. The American people will say what they
deserve this election year-they will also say what vision guides the
destiny of a people.
