The Margaret Wong Scholarship, in partnership
with Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC), assists students who
are not eligible for federal student aid as a result of their
citizenship status. Applicants must be immigrant students and who
reside in the United States who have achieved Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status. This scholarship will be
administered by College Now Greater Cleveland. Ten (10) northeast
Ohio students will receive one-year scholarships in the amount of
$2,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year. Selected winners who
maintain a 2.0 GPA, full-time status and participate in the College
Now mentoring program will be eligible for a scholarship renewal for
up to two additional years through 2018-2019.
Eligible Students: Applicants must be in the Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and either be a high school senior
or a current undergraduate student. Applicants must be pursuing or
planning to pursue a two-year or four-year degree at either a public
or private not-for-profit college or university and, upon enrollment,
maintain full-time status. High school seniors must be attending a
high school served by College Now and must have a 3.0 cumulative
GPA. Current college undergraduates must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
and provide copies of their most recent transcripts. They also must
attend a counseling session with an advisor at the College Now
Resource Center located in the Tower City Mall prior to selection.

* Two (2) recommendation letters
* Confirmation of your enrollment in the DACA program
