CLEVELAND (May 20, 2014) – Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC)
encourages 501c3 nonprofit organizations offering arts and cultural
programming in Cuyahoga County to apply for funding in 2015 through
its General Operating Support or Project Support grant programs.
CAC is now accepting applications to the following grant programs:
· General Operating Support provides two years of unrestricted, core
support for Cuyahoga County-based 501c3 nonprofit organizations that
have a primary mission of arts or culture. Grant size is determined by
formula.
· Project Support I offers grants of up to $50,000 for 501c3 nonprofit
organizations presenting arts or cultural projects in Cuyahoga County
in 2015.
· Project Support II offers grants of up to $5,000 for 501c3 nonprofit
organizations presenting arts or cultural projects in Cuyahoga County
in 2015.
The Eligibility Check, the first step in the application process, is
due Wednesday, June 25, 2014 by 4:30 pm. If eligible, an organization
may submit an application, which is due Thursday, August 28, 2014 by
4:30 pm. Organizations may only apply to one grant program.
“Since 2007, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture has invested $112 million through
nearly 1,000 grants to nonprofit organizations throughout Cuyahoga
County, and we welcome organizations offering arts and culture
programs to apply now for CAC grants in 2015,” said Executive Director
Karen Gahl-Mills. “Our county is fortunate to have this source of
public funding for arts and culture, which strengthens our community
by making it a better place to live, work and play.”
Cuyahoga Arts & Culture defines arts and culture broadly to include
natural history and natural science, in addition to traditional “arts

Informational workshops are being offered for applicants to both grant
programs in the coming weeks. New applicants to the Project Support
program are encouraged to attend one of three informational workshops
on June 4, 10, or 12, and applicants to the General Operating Support
program are welcome to attend a Kickoff Meeting and Workshop on May
29. Workshop details are below.
