Donna Hom Inducted into

International Hall of Fame

Donna Hom with Anthony Yen, Lisa Wong, and Joe Meissner.

"In America, anyone that works hard will never go hungry." Says Donna Hom, as she addressed 520 of Cleveland's International elite as she, along with seven others, were inducted into the Cleveland International Hall of Fame. In her acceptance speech, Donna talked about her true rags to riches story that led to her starting Li Wah, King Wah, Ho Wah, and Asia Plaza. She also shared her vision from decades ago of growing Cleveland's Chinatown, and promoted this weekend's Cleveland Asian Festival as an event that has had a lot of impact in helping make that vision reality. The annual Festival that attracts 40,000 people will be on May 17-18, located at East 27th and Payne Avenue anchored by Donna's Asia Plaza, featuring over 100 exhibitors, over 22 Asian food vendors, and two performance stages. Donna was joined at the induction ceremony by her four great Sons, Harold, Ed, Steve, and Randy and their families. The International Hall of Fame is organized by ClevelandPeople.com and the induction ceremony was held at the Marriott Downtown at Key Center.
