【本報訊】五月十三日,應凱斯大學(Case Western
Reserve University)the Great Lakes Energy
Institute的邀請,來自中國海洋石油總公司(中海油)的首席科學家肖鋼在凱斯大禮堂(Schmitt
Auditorium)舉辦了專題講座,主要介紹中國的清潔能源。當日從肯塔基特地趕來的伊利華報的客人Raymond Lukee和克里夫蘭能源方面的企業代表和專家等人參加了這個活動。
中國海洋石油總公司(中海油)是中國最大的獨立石油和天然氣勘探和生産公司之一。在這個方面,中國目前每年投資預算爲40億美元,包括太陽能,風能,煤轉化,纖維素乙醇生産,能源儲存,氫的生成和電動汽車等。
當日肖鋼博士在發言中提到:發展新能源包括兩層含義:一是可再生能源的開發,二是對傳統能源的高效清潔利用。前者包括風能、生物質能等,後者包括煤基清潔能源等。這二者是互補和集成的關係,在技術上也是互相補充的。比如,利用風電制氫,利用生物質能吸收傳統能源利用中釋放的二氧化碳。同時他也提到發展新能源必須要有三個要素,政策、資金和技術。而目前中國不缺資金,政策也有,唯獨技術相對落後,但這也提供了很好的發展機遇。同時他也希望中國和美國在清潔能源方面能有進一步的合作。

肖鋼,1984年畢業于東北大學,1987年遠赴丹麥,師從丹麥化學世家傳人尼爾斯敎授。這一獃就是20年,他做過大學敎授,近年取得“英國皇家化學會院士”頭銜;自己開辦過高科技公司,也曾爲國際知名的大型能源企業效力。 |

About the Great Lakes Energy Institute
The Case School of Engineering traces its work in energy advancement
to the 1930s, when it became an acclaimed leader in electrochemistry
research for fuel cells.
Since then, the school has broadened its interests to develop
strengths in many other essential energy-related disciplines:
advanced materials; wind energy, power informatics and control;
energy conversion and storage; and solar.
Building on this history and expertise in collaborative research,
Case formed the Great Lakes Energy Institute as a resource for
academia, industry, government and educators. Created with a $3.6
million grant from The Cleveland Foundation, the Institute is a
multi-disciplinary center that is led by researchers at the Case
School of Engineering and utilizes the rich resources and expertise
of all of the graduate and professional schools at Case Western
Reserve University.
