Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Husted Announce
New Projects Expected to Create More Than
300 Jobs, $27 Million in Payroll

|
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor
Jon Husted today announced the approval of assistance for six
projects set to create 332 new jobs and retain 926 jobs statewide.
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA)
reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by
JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are
expected to result in more than $27 million in new payroll and spur
more than $426 million in investments across Ohio.
Projects approved by the TCA include:
CENTRAL
G & J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. (Franklin County) expects to create
44 full-time positions, generating more than $2.2 million in new
annual payroll and retaining $30.6 million in existing payroll, as a
result of the company’s expansion project in the city of Columbus. G
& J Pepsi is a full-service contract beverage producer, bottler,
distributor, and marketing firm for more than 30 brands. The TCA
approved a 1.171%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this
project.
SOUTHWEST
Curiosity, LLC (Hamilton County) expects to create 32 full-time
positions, generating $3.4 million in new annual payroll, and
retaining $6,103,496 in existing payroll, as a result of the
company’s expansion project in the city of Cincinnati. Curiosity is
a marketing firm specializing in brand strategy development, social
media, advertising, and digital marketing. The TCA approved a
1.633%, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Dine Development Corporation; DDC IT Services, LLC; Dine Source LLC
(Montgomery County) expects to create 100 full-time positions,
generating $12 million in new annual payroll, and retaining $22
million in existing payroll, as a result of the company’s expansion
project in the city of Dayton. DDC delivers IT, professional, and
environmental services to government agencies and commercial firms.
DDC has a broad span of IT services including data enablement, data
science, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and modern software design.
The TCA approved a 2.178%, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
this project.
NORTHEAST
Ohio Ordnance Works, Inc. (Lake County) expects to create 70
full-time positions, generating $3.9 million in new annual payroll,
and retaining $5,542,814 in existing payroll, as a result of the
company’s expansion project in the city of Chardon. Ohio Ordnance
Works is a manufacturer of firearms and ordnance for supply to
different foreign and domestic government agencies. The TCA approved
a 1.226%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Aligned Data Centers (NEO) Propco, LLC (Erie County) expects to
create 18 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in new annual
payroll as a result of the company’s new location in the Perkins
Township. Aligned provides hyperscale data centers and assists
businesses with speed-to-market, energy and water efficiency, and
the ability to seamlessly scale infrastructure as businesses growth
demands. The TCA approved a 75%, 15-year Data Center Tax Exemption
for this project.
Viega LLC (Portage County) expects to create 68 full-time positions,
generating $3.6 million in new annual payroll, as a result of the
company’s new location in Shalersville Township. Viega develops,
manufactures, and sells plumbing, heating and pipe connection
products and other products for heating and cooling systems and
drainage technology. The TCA approved a 1.325%, eight-year Job
Creation Tax Credit for this project. |
