Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Husted Announce
New Projects Expected to Create More Than
700 Jobs, $85 Million in Payroll

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt.
Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of assistance for
four projects set to create 781 new jobs and retain 156 jobs
statewide.
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA)
reviewed and approved economic development proposals from JobsOhio
and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected
to result in more than $85 million in new payroll and spur more than
$47 million in investments across Ohio.
Projects approved by the TCA include:
CENTRAL
Wells Fargo Bank, National Association (TBD) expects to create 585
full-time positions, generating $73 million in new annual payroll
and retaining $5.4 million in existing payroll, as a result of the
company’s new location at a to-be-determined site. Wells Fargo
provides banking, insurance, investment, mortgage, and consumer and
commercial finance services through more than 8,400 locations,
13,000 ATMs, and Internet and mobile banking. Wells Fargo has
offices in 42 countries and territories. The TCA approved a 2.582%,
15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
NORTHEAST
R.E. Warner & Associates (Cuyahoga County) expects to create 88
full-time positions, generating $6.3 million in new annual payroll
and retaining $9 million in existing payroll, as a result of the
company’s expansion project in North Olmsted. R.E. Warner provides
full-service, multi-discipline engineering, architecture, and
surveying for facilities and infrastructure from pre-project
planning through design to construction close-out. The TCA approved
a 1.538%, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
SOUTHWEST
Mattr US Inc. (Butler County) expects to create 48 full-time
positions, generating more than $2.7 million in new annual payroll
and retaining $1.7 million in existing payroll, as a result of the
company’s new location in Fairfield. Mattr US Inc. designs,
manufactures, protects, and manages critical assets for customers in
the industrial, automotive, and oil/gas industries. The TCA approved
a 1.28%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
WEST
Michigan Metal Coatings Company (Shelby County) expects to create
60 full-time positions, generating $3.57 million in new annual
payroll as a result of the company’s new location in Sidney.
Michigan Metal Coating is an accredited applicator of the Geomet and
Doerken systems. They are a leader in the application of
chromium-free, corrosion-resistant coating systems for Tier 1
automotive customers. The TCA approved a 1.357%, seven-year Job
Creation Tax Credit for this project. |
