New Projects Expected to Create More Than $99 Million in Investments

 
 (COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of assistance for six projects set to create 622 new jobs and retain 449 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $29 million in new payroll and spur more than $99 million in investments across Ohio.
Projects approved by the TCA include:
CENTRAL
American Freight Management Company LLC, city of Delaware (Delaware Co.), expects to create 37 full-time positions, generating $3.7 million in new annual payroll and retaining $6.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Delaware. American Freight is a national retail chain offering brand-name furniture, mattresses, and home accessories at discount prices. The TCA approved a 1.822 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
HomeGoods Inc., village of Obetz (Franklin Co.), expects to create 250 full-time positions, generating $9 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Obetz. HomeGoods is a retailer of off-price home fashions, including giftware, home basics, accent furniture, lamps, rugs, and wall décor. The TCA approved a 1.363 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Pitney Bowes Global Logistics LLC, city of Canal Winchester (Franklin Co.), expects to create 115 full-time positions, generating $4.3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Canal Winchester. Pitney Bowes is a global technology company offering solutions in the areas of e-commerce fulfillment, shipping and returns, cross-border e-commerce, office mailing and shipping, presort services, and financing. The TCA approved a 1.477 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
NORTHEAST
MAI Wealth Management Inc., city of Independence (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $4 million in new annual payroll and retaining $16.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Independence. MAI Wealth Management is a wealth management firm providing planning and investment advisory services. The TCA approved a 1.773 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Superior Roll Forming LLC, Liverpool Township (Medina Co.), expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $7.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $11.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Liverpool Township. Superior Roll Forming is a custom roll form producer serving the automotive industry and other commercial markets. The TCA approved a 1.491 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
SOUTHWEST
Pepper Construction Company of Ohio LLC, village of Lockland, city of Blue Ash (Hamilton Co.), expects to create 20 full-time positions, generating $1.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $2.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Lockland and Blue Ash. Pepper Construction is a national commercial construction company. The TCA approved a 1.435 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
