Cleveland is proud to host the 2024 Pan-American
Masters Games (PAMG) on July 12-21, 2024. A major event of the
International Masters Games Association, the Games offer an
opportunity to showcase your competitive spirit and athletic ability
on a global stage.
We’re excited to welcome nearly 4,000 athletes from 70 countries and
47 states to Cleveland! We are working overtime to make sure
everything is ready for your arrival and for you to have the time of
your life!

HELP NEEDED DURING PAMG WELCOME CELEBRATION
We are recruiting flag bearers for the Welcome Celebration to
represent the nationalities of our athletes. We are also seeking
children to participate in our “High-Five tunnel” for athletes to
walk through when they arrive at Mall C. Anyone interested should
email Destany Post (dpost@clevelandsports.org).

A HOMERUN OF AN EVENT
The NCAA Division III Baseball tournament was held May 31-June 6 at
Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio, the home field of the
Lake County Captains minor league baseball team. The eight teams
that advanced to Eastlake were re-seeded before double-elimination
games to decide the national champion. Misericordia came out on top
in the 2024 NCAA DIII baseball championship, defeating Wisconsin-Whitewater
for the title.
This event is expected to generate $500,000 in economic impact.
UPCOMING EVENTS
CLEVELAND BEACH RUGBY
Cleveland Beach Rugby will return to Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater
Beach on July 13! With a festival-like atmosphere and several
divisions including contact and non-contact games, this annual
tournament is a fast-paced, 5-on-5 competition perfect for any age
and skill level.
Tournament winners will receive prize money. Additionally,
competitors and fans can enjoy the Edgewater Beach House's food &
drink offerings while jamming out to the tournament DJ off the sandy
pitch.
WORLD YO-YO CONTEST
Cleveland will host the 2024 World Yo-Yo Contest July 31-Aug. 3 at
Hotel Cleveland! The 2024 World Yo-Yo Contest brings together the
most skilled yo-yo players in the world for four days of
competition, workshops, product releases, parties and more.
Top competitors from more than 20 countries will gather for a chance
at the title of World Champion, showing off tightly choreographed
routines that have been years in the making. Lessons and instruction
from top players will be available for beginners, as well as a
variety of vendors.
The event is expected to generate $750,000 in economic impact.
INTERNATIONAL STREET DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
‘Lords of The Land’ (LOTL) is an annual two-day summer festival in
Cleveland, Ohio, bringing artists & creators together from around
the continent to showcase authentic Hip Hop culture. Attracting
competitors from all over North America, LOTL is the premier Hip-Hop
dance event in the Midwest!

FENCE ACROSS AMERICA
Fencing Across America is an innovative initiative designed to bring
the excitement of fencing directly to communities across the United
States. This summer, all of America is invited to join in
celebrating the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 and
discovering the exciting world of fencing. This event is taking
place at two locations in Cleveland: Crocker Park Mall July 28 –
Aug. 4 and Legacy Village July 31 – Aug. 2.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
WWE SUMMERSLAM
Cleveland will host WWE SummerSlam on Saturday, August 3, at
Cleveland Browns Stadium for the first time since August of 1996.
Cleveland is home to several WWE Superstars including Logan Paul,
The Miz, and Johnny Gargano.
SUMMER GOLF CLASSIC
The 8th annual Greater Cleveland Sports Commission Summer Golf
Classic, presented by First National Bank, will take place on Aug.
5! Golfers of all abilities are welcome to join us at the beautiful
Cleveland Metroparks Sleepy Hollow Golf Course for a day full of
golf, food, contests and prizes! All proceeds benefit our local
nonprofit.
PICKLE IN THE LAND
Pickle in the Land is back Dec. 13-15, 2024, at the Huntington
Convention Center of Cleveland. We have made tremendous updates to
the tournament including all courts being played on Pickle Flex Pro,
a Har-Tru product.
