Theasha Daniely
安息 Rest in peace
September 6, 1946-August 15, 2023
Community Relations Board
Director
of Community Relations Board, Angela Shute-Woodson同意,你可以在(Rotunda in
Theasha
Blaine
Frank G. Jackson.
Theasha
Daniely.

IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF THEASHA
DANIELY:
A Beacon of Light and LegacyCertain individuals shimmer with
unparalleled elegance, grace, and a deep sense of duty in the
vibrant panorama of Cleveland's legacy. Theasha Daniely was one such
radiant figure, embodying integrity in every word spoken and every
decision made.Knowing Theasha meant witnessing an epitome of
refinement. Every strand of her hair whispered tales of
meticulousness, and her attire always embodied professionalism and
propriety. Her smile wasn't just a mere curve of lips but a
luminescent beacon that illuminated any space she graced.
Born, September 6, 1946, amidst the rich tapestry of life on 144th
and Glendale, in the heart of Cleveland, Theasha was a cherished gem
in the illustrious lineage of Elrod and Eleanor Daniely. As one
among the nine resilient branches of the Daniely tree, Theasha grew
alongside her beloved siblings—Elrod II, Delores, Samuel, Rodger,
Glenderlene, Elisa, Eleanor (Carrie), and Tommie Jean—in the
nurturing embrace of the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.
Theasha wasn't just an individual; she was an institution in
herself. Her astounding 53 years of unwavering service to the city
bore testimony to her unparalleled commitment. Observant yet tender,
she possessed an innate ability to nurture both herself and her
cherished family. To many, she was the backbone—the unyielding
pillar that provided strength in times of need and joy in moments of
celebration. At familial gatherings, Theasha was the pulsating
heart, her joy infectious and her traditions memorable. Those family
dinners, where she would thoughtfully reserve a portion for her next
lunch, echo memories of her enduring practicality.
Her footsteps graced the soils of numerous nations, yet every heart
she touched, regardless of the geography, felt an immediate warmth.
Though soft-spoken,Theasha's words carried weight, directness, and
profound meaning.
In celebrating Theasha's life, we don't just reminisce about a
person; we honor an era, a legacy of grace and duty, that beckons us
to emulate and remember. Her spirit, forever etched in time, is a
call to uphold the values she cherished and lived by.
In the radiant tapestry of Cleveland's history, those shining
threads stand out, weaving together community, compassion, and
commitment. Theasha Daniely's life was one such thread, glittering
with a brilliance that will never fade. Beginning her remarkable
journey on September 23, 1970, she embarked on a tenure with the
City of Cleveland that saw her serve with unwavering dedication
under eight mayors, commencing with the Stokes administration and
continuing with esteemed individuals like the current and 58th
mayor, Justin Bibb.
Theasha was the very essence of what it means to lead with grace,
poise, and unyielding character. In her presence, everyone felt
acknowledged, their voices echoed in her heart, and their narratives
were intricately stitched into the story she wove for Cleveland. Her
mastery in public administration was unparalleled, but it was in
Community Relations where she truly became legendary. Each
interaction she had was not just a meeting, but a chance to
cultivate a resource that would further elevate the Cleveland
community, which she loved deeply and passionately.
As the Downtown District Community Representative/Supervisor,
Theasha was a lighthouse of leadership. Her influence touched the
Community Relations Board Chair and Board, the Chief of the
Cleveland Police Department, commanders from all districts,
Community Development Corporations, and businesses of all sizes. But
Theasha wasn’t just a leader but a masterful connector, skillfully
bridging gaps and knitting together diverse community threads.
Her initiatives were the heartbeat of the city. She spearheaded
vital community dialogues on race relations, co-orchestrated
community-building galas, and initiated forums that courageously
tackled pressing concerns like human trafficking. Beyond recognizing
the laudable efforts of the police and local residents through award
ceremonies, she uplifted the spirit of neighborhoods with events
that celebrated community pride – from the best-kept yards to
gardens that blossomed with love and home-cooked recipes that
nourished the soul.
Every call she received, every meeting she attended, and every
event she organized, Theasha was always at the epicenter, armed with
a wealth of knowledge and an unparalleled passion for making her
visions come to life. Her final event, the Night Out Against Crime,
is a powerful testament to her unyielding dedication to her
community her presence persisted from the first light until the last
soul departed.
Let us remember Theasha not merely in sorrow but as an unwavering
beacon calling each of us to action. In her honor, let's continue to
build bridges, foster understanding, and cultivate the love she sowed
for the city of Cleveland. Emulate her spirit, for in doing so, we
ensure that her legacy forever illuminates our path.
She is survived by her siblings Rodger, Eleanor (Carrie), and Tommie
Jean. Her nieces and nephews Monica Daniely-Green, Elrod Daniely
III, Danielle Wright, Dijon Brittain, and Lelett Houston. Great
Nieces and Nephews Christian, Shondo Jr.Shani, Alexandria, Issiah,
Joseph, Kingston, Daniel, Gabrielle, Mathew, and Anaya, and a host
of cousins and friends |
