We invite you to join us as the Erie Chinese Journal celebrates its
20th Anniversary celebration at Cleveland City Hall Rotunda on
Friday, March 24th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
Many outstanding cultural performances have been arranged, with
performers hailing from Philadelphia, Detroit, Columbus, and
Cleveland. A formal dinner will be served while you enjoy an evening
full of music and dances, including opera.
Our honored speakers will be Margaret Wong of Margaret W. Wong &
Associates of Cleveland, Ohio, and Pier Lee, Library Director
Emerita of Peters Township Public Library of Canonsburg,
Pennsylvania. Ms. Wong and Ms. Lee will share their remarkable
personal immigrant stories with us. Amazingly, both of these women
have had family members who started newspapers in Hong Kong decades
ago.
The theme of our celebration is “Dream of Home”, which provides us a
welcome avenue to connect with others in a joyful atmosphere since
recent years have been difficult for many. We, the people, must seek
and find ways to demonstrate our humanity, by gathering strength to
pursue our dreams. By breaking bread and sharing a meal together, we
aim to bring our community together, paving the road toward our
dreams of building a better “home” for all of us.
We are appreciate your support. Tickets for tables of 10 seats and
individual seating are available: Tables are set in sections from
the stage: A-section for $5,000; B-section for $3,000, C-section for
$1,500, and D- section for $1,000. Individual seat ticket is set
accordingly to each section: A-section $500/seat; B-section
$300/seat; C-section for $150/seat, and $100/seat.
